Flu Vaccination

I have received information from Public Health England that a large number of schools have already been affected by flu (influenza) outbreaks this year.

Free flu vaccinations are available for ALL primary aged children. NHS nurses will be coming to administer the nasal spray at Cabot next week. If you have not booked your child in for this immunisation at school we strongly recommend you see your GP to discuss immunisation options. Flu can be very serious. More details about the immunisation programme can be found at the link below.

Year 6 Community Project

Our Year 6 pupils have been working on a very interesting project. Children have been interview members of the local St Paul’s Community, including people who have lived here an long time and others who have moved here more recently. We have found out what things are important to residents as well as lots of local history. People from Ujima Radio have helped children develop their interview skills and learn about how to make recordings. All this work will go towards producing a community area project in Den Street next year. This is a great piece of partnership working with our school and our community.

We Walk To School

We had two very special guests in our assembly today. Laura, from Living Streets came to tell us about the Walk To School Challenge. Walking to school is not only good for the environment, it keeps us healthy too. Also, her friend Strider came along to tell us how we can earn badges and stickers for a bit of extra motivation too!
