Arrivals and Collections

Dear Parents,

Thank you for all your support with helping keep our school as Covid safe and secure as possible. The arrival and collection processes have worked well. We would now like to try and get children in a little earlier and leave a little later. You will receive a text message with a new arrival and collection time. Please come at the times you are given to keep queues and crowds of people as small as possible. If there is a queue of people at the gate when you arrive, please use the markings to help you keep socially distanced from other family groups. We will continue to ask you to say goodbye to your child on arrival at the school gate in the morning. At the end of the day, please use the one way system to collect your child from their classes. I realise this means you are unable to have those very important check in conversations with class teachers. Teachers will call you if there are any issues to discuss with you. They have also begun to use the text message service. Please look out for text messages straight from your child’s teacher. If you would like to discuss anything with your child’s teacher, please call the office on 0117 3772630 to book a telephone appointment.

Latest Covid 19 guidance

Dear Parents,

Thank you for working with us to keep our school as safe as possible. Please see below for the latest guidance about Covid 19 symptoms and when to self-isolate. I am aware there are delays and issues booking tests. Thank you for your patience with this. If your child has been tested for Covid 19, we look forward to welcoming them back after they have received a negative result. If your child has a positive Covid 19 result, please inform us straight away.

Best wishes,

Mr Burton

Check if you or your child has coronavirus symptoms
If you have any of the main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), get a test as soon as possible. Stay at home until you get the result.

Main symptoms
The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Most people with coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms.

What to do if you have symptoms
If you have any of the main symptoms of coronavirus:

Get a test to check if you have coronavirus as soon as possible.
Stay at home and do not have visitors until you get your test result – only leave your home to have a test.
Anyone you live with, and anyone in your support bubble, must also stay at home until you get your result.
